If you like No-Spice tales with immersive world-building and misfit characters you’ll grow to love, overcoming the odds stacked against them (with a dash of humor thrown in) then you’ve come to the right place! I write faith-based stories that shine light through the darkness, encourage, entertain and inspire, creating worlds that one can explore and quickly become lost within! Be careful you don’t lose your way… 😉
My goal is to write no-spice (clean) fantasy books you can read worry free–nothing beyond kissing shown, and though there is battle/action violence and beaten-up abuse, it will never be more than what you see in movies like Lord of the Rings, and language will be clean, only made-up fantasy words used as fits a scene.
As for me, I’m the product of a traveling family, who loved coming up with fictional tales as a child, but had struggled to read and write. It wasn’t until 6th grade that changed—when my English teacher encouraged me to choose whatever book I wanted (I chose a children’s version of The Time Machine lol) and gave me all the time I needed to work through reading it, instead of following difficult class curriculum. And that act of understanding and care is what opened the world of books to me and fueled my passion for reading—and years later, even writing books of my own! Just goes to show, it’s never too late to learn something.
Today, while I write books, I also go exploring, whether it be in a forest, inside a forgotten castle, or along the quiet shoreline–and you can find my nature discoveries and photographs over at my Nature shop.
